2019-2020 Softball Season is Here!

It wouldn’t be a ball game without a Hot Dog.  That’s right —  Hot Dogs, Hamburgers, Chips, beverages, and more.  Every Friday at the Softball diamond.

See below for more information and please volunteer to help.  Contact Rick Finegold for more information.

Volunteers Needed for 2019/2020 Softball Season

The Diamondettes are looking for new volunteers for the 2019/2020 Sun City Center Softball season.

This group consists of softball players spouses or significant others.  Three to four Diamondettes volunteer their time to grill hamburgers and hot dogs, and serve lunch to softball players and their family and friends.   Diamondettes ‘work’ on Friday’s from 10am – 2pm during the fall, winter and spring sessions, in addition to playoff and specialty games.  Our goal is to have enough volunteers so that everyone only has to ‘work’ one game during each softball session.  Volunteers can also help by providing baked goods* (e.g. cookies, brownies, quick breads, or anything that can easily fit into individual plastic sandwich bags).  Donations for food items helps raise dollars that are donated back to the Sun City Center Softball Club.

So, if you are new to Sun City Center or just new to the Softball Club, this is a way for your spouse to get involved with the club as well.  It’s a great way to meet new people, make new friends and have some fun.  Anyone interested in joining the Diamondettes, or learning more, please contact Rick Finegold at 339-793-1776 or send an email to the club at suncitycentersoftball@gmail.com.

*All baked goods should be dropped off at the softball field pavilion between 10:00 – 10:30am on Friday.

We are looking forward to another fun year. Getting involved is a great way to make new friends and meet all of the wonderful people who are part of this organization.
